We also took the liberty of quoting an optional Renter’s Insurance policy for you. In addition to protecting your personal property, you will also receive a “package credit” on both policies for buying them together. This would save another $XXX.00 per year on the Auto.

I’m writing you to bring to your attention the sizeable increase in premiums on this year’s renewal(s). The reason for this is Cincinnati Insurance Co. has begun using Insurance Scoring (based upon your credit history) as an underwriting tool. Please note that you have the ability to gain your policy credits back by endeavoring to improve your credit situation over the next year. Cincinnati Insurance will again check your score at your next renewal, and may apply policy credits due to improvement. If you have any questions, feel free to call me anytime.
Regards,
-Cameron
I’m writing you to bring to your attention the sizeable increase in premiums on this year’s renewal(s). The reason for this is due to at-fault losses within the 3-year underwriting period. I have attached a Loss Report so you can review your claims. Safe, defensive driving in the future will cause the rates to drop when these losses become greater than 3 years old. At that time, CIC may apply policy credits due to improvement. If you have any questions, feel free to call me anytime.

-Cameron

Low Deductible:
I’m writing you to bring to your attention a way you can help keep your premiums as low as possible. I noticed that you still carry a $250 Deductible on your homeowners’ policy. The industry standard is now $500. Attached you will find a quote for a $500 deductible to see if the savings is right for you. Feel free to give us a call if you would like us to make this change.

“Which deductible should I choose?”
When deciding on a deductible, I think it’s a good idea to take the additional cost of the higher deductible in the event of a claim, in your case an additional $XXX, and divide it by the annual savings of $XXX. The result shows how many years you need to be claims-free in order for this to be a good financial decision. In your example, it would be X years. In my opinion, you WOULD / WOULD NOT save enough to justify the higher deductible. Ultimately, the decision is yours. I offer this tool to help insureds make informed decisions.
